Meet Frank

Even the most responsible and loving pet owners can face financial challenges when unexpected emergencies arise. Veterinary emergencies, such as accidents, sudden illness, or urgent surgeries, can cost of hundreds of dollars, often with no warning. For many families, this creates in impossible choice between going into debt, risking their pet's life, or even worse, having to euthanize because they cannot afford the necessary care.

Most pet owners budget for routine care like food, vaccinations, and check-ups, but few can afford the steep and unpredictable costs of emergency procedures. Needing financial help doesn’t mean someone is a bad pet owner. It means they care enough to seek support when their animal’s life is on the line. Emergency care funding ensures that pets don’t suffer or die simply because their humans don’t have enough money at the moment.

Supporting good pet owners in crisis isn’t just compassionate, it helps reduce animal surrenders and give families the chance to continue providing loving homes. When we help people keep their pets healthy, we are strengthening the bond between humans and animals, and building a more humane community.

Frank’s owners were fortunate enough to be able to afford the care he needed to live a long, happy life. They also understand that even the most devoted pet owners can face financial challenges when emergencies arise. Thanks to their generosity, we were able to create Frank’s Emergency Medical Fund, a lifeline for pets in crisis. With your support, we can continue to ensure that more pets get the second chances they deserve and stay with the families who love them most.
